Our dedicated team at Sherwood Forest Harmony Horses is composed of experienced professionals who are passionate about promoting emotional wellness and resilience through our equine-assisted wellness and pony care session.
Ocean or Silversmith Top Billings Emoji is our baby of the group at 4 years old & is our little fluffy bundle of energy. He is an American Miniature and is a silver bay. At 8hh he is a little guy with a huge personality. He is the bravest & most adventurous and likes to either lead our walks or take the rear geeing the others on when they are feeling lazy. He thinks he is the King of the field, but his Aunty Angel puts him his place. He is our star of the event arena as he will say hello and meet and greet all day long.
Our Team
Dream or Rosemont Dreamers Caballero is 8 years old and another American Miniature. He is 8hh and a skewbald. As his name implies he has impeccable manners and is an absolute delight to be around. With bags of personality he really is a sweetheart. He is our Champion of the show ring, having many high placings under his belt. He loves nothing more that to play with Ocean and often is the instigator & gets Ocean in trouble as we think Dream couldn't possibly be the naughty one!
Cloud is our big pony, standing at 13.1 and 4 years old he is our stunning spotty boy with a personality to match. He really is a gentle soul. He is a leopard spotted Appaloosa. We haven't had him long yet so he is still in training, but will be used for grooming and cuddles next year.
Angel or Buck Ons Dangerous Perfect 10 is our old lady. She is an American miniature and is 8hh. She is Oceans Aunty. Originally from America, she was then a broodmare in Ireland. As her name implies she is an absolute angel and is the kindest horse we ever had. She will look after the smallest child and is so calm, she is perfect for very young children, nervous or sen and we she comes for visits to care homes with us.
Elise is my daughter and has been pony mad all her life, having her first pony at 3. Although she would only ride in a Princess dress. We had Barney as our shared pony and she grew a strong bond with him. She developed a love for minis when we met one at a show and we knew we needed one in our lives! So Ocean was found and then Dream, who is her mini horse. They have such a good connection and she's always out teaching him tricks.
And this is me Jo. I have been horse mad since I can remember. I learnt to ride at 3 and have owned horses for many years. I went to Brackenhurst from school where I studied horse care and stable management. I have worked on numerous yards and riding schools over the years and have continued my training over the years attending clinics and online training. Me and Elise use groundwork, liberty and trick training with our ponies.
I trained and qualified in equine assisted wellness coaching with Equimotional and hope to bring a holistic approach to healing with horses and also bring lots of joy and fun to as many people as we can!
I am also qualified in TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (RQF) , TENANCY TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Special Education Needs and Disability (CR) and Sylvotherapy Practitioner or Forest Therapy.
